The problem
Most B2B SaaS teams set up analytics once and never look at it again. Dashboards go stale. Event taxonomies fall behind the product. The people who need answers — product leads, founders, CS teams — don't have time to query data, and the teams who can are busy with other things.

What we're building
Lunar Dinos is AI-guided product analytics that works without dashboards, without event tracking, and without a data team.
You install a lightweight SDK. It records sessions and the AI learns your product by observing real usage — discovering your product graph, features, user journeys, and activation milestones automatically. No manual instrumentation needed.
Because the AI actually understands your product, anyone on the team can ask questions in plain English. "Where do users drop off after onboarding?" "Which accounts had the biggest drop in activity this week?" Lunar Dinos answers with real data, not charts you have to interpret. Every account gets its own page with health score, feature adoption, and activation progress — so CS and sales can self-serve from day one.
Why it matters
We believe product analytics should be something your entire team uses every week, not a tool that collects dust. That means it has to be effortless to set up, require zero maintenance, and deliver answers — not charts — to the people who need them.

The founder
Andre Sattler — Founder & CEO
I've spent over eight years building products as a developer and tech and team lead at SaaS and enterprise software companies in Hamburg. As a product engineer, what always drove me was seeing the impact of what I build — who's using the features I ship, what difference a bugfix made, whether anyone noticed an improvement.
But getting that feedback was never easy. From Google Analytics with tag managers seven years ago to PostHog today — the tools have gotten nicer, but the workflow hasn't really changed. You still need to send events from the code, set up metrics and dashboards, and understand funnels and retention. Last year, as frontend lead, I implemented PostHog for our team. It had everything we thought we needed, but it was repeatedly hard for different roles to get value from it. Product managers and UX designers struggled. For marketing, CS, and sales the barrier was even higher.
I also looked at June, which I liked for its simplicity-first, B2B-focused approach. When they were acquired by Amplitude, their philosophy stuck with me. Meanwhile, I saw other analytics tools bolt AI onto their existing platforms — but these AIs don't actually know what your product is, your market, or your customers. They're just a better interface to the same underlying complexity.
That's how the idea for Lunar Dinos came about — an AI-guided analytics platform that deeply understands your B2B SaaS product, while keeping things simple and opinionated.
Outside of work, I enjoy the outdoors — long-distance bikepacking, hiking, and climbing.
